Overview

You can import a BibTex file containing many references at once, however you will have to edit the references before (and possibly after) importing them to make sure they're correct.

There are a few features of this process you might want to attend to especially carefully:

Authors

Authors on EMCA wiki have full names, with multiple authors added in a semicolon separated list. We try to use full author names, so please if you are importing initials, try to correct them to full names and put them in the following order:

Forename Surname; Forename Surname

If there are initials, please include them with a period:

Forename I. Surname

Keywords

We have several specialist bibliographies on the site, based on Paul ten Have's original lists. If you want your addition to appear in the list, please use the following (possibly multiple) keyword groups:

  • EMCA (will appear in the General Bibliography)
  • Basic Resources (will appear in the 'Basic resources and debates')
  • Medical EMCA (will appear in the Medical EMCA bibliography)
  • MCA (will appear in the Member Categorization Analysis bibliography)
  • Discursive Psychology (will appear in the Discursive Psychology bibliography)
  • Related Interaction Studies (will appear in the Related Interaction Studies bibliography)

You may also add any other keywords (or use any that are already in your bibtex file)
