Abstract
This chapter focuses on storytelling in the higher education context. It starts with reviewing the emerging body of research on storytelling, which casts light on how storytelling is used as a pedagogical tool in different higher education contexts. This provides the background for the three studies features in this section: Monfaredi examining how story-closing has consequences for transitioning from one to another classroom activity, Dooly and Tudini concerned with how storytelling contributes to the achievement of collaborative tasks in the context of teacher education, and Ta focusing on how hypothetical storytelling is used as a resource for giving feedback and advice in the context of PhD supervision.
