Abstract
Este estudo investiga, por meio da Linguística Interacional e da Análise da Conversa, como o traço prosódico tom contribui para a produção e atribuição de sentido a ações realizadas através da prática da formulação no ambiente jurídico. Argumenta-se que as formulações analisadas variam em termos prosódicos conforme a ação desempenhada local e situadamente na interação: checar entendimentos e desafiar o/a interlocutor/a.

Based on the theoretical and methodological perspectives of Interactional Linguistics and Conversation Analysis, this study investigates how the prosodic feature pitch contributes to the formation and ascription of actions through the interactional practice of formulations within the court environment. It is argued that the analyzed formulations vary in terms of prosody according to the locally and situatedly performed action: checking understandings and challenging the interlocutor.
