Abstract
Der vorliegende Beitrag adressiert medienlinguistische Herausforderungen bei der Untersuchung von stationären Sprachassistenzsystemen im Privathaushalt. Dabei werden die Neuartigkeit dieses Gerätetyps, ein methodisches Desiderat in der Medienlinguistik sowie eine fortlaufende theoretische Debatte um den Medienbegriff als methodologische Herausforderungen identifiziert. Mit Vorschlägen erstens aus dem Bereich der praxeologisch fundierten Medienforschung und zweitens aus der ethnomethodologischen Konversationsanalyse bzw. der Video-Interaktionsanalyse sowie mithilfe zweier Fallbeispiele will der Beitrag diesen Problemstellungen begegnen.

Abstract in English
The article addresses concerns of media linguistics in the study of stationary voice assistants in private households. In doing so, the novelty of this type of device, a methodological void in media linguistics, and an ongoing theoretical debate about the notion of “media” are identified as methodological challenges. With suggestions first from the field of praxeologically based media research and second from ethnomethodological conversation analysis and video interaction analysis, as well as with the help of two case studies, the paper aims to tackle these issues.
