Abstract
Cet article se penche sur différents emplois de là, tels qu'ils s'observent dans des interactions de service entre des coiffeurs et leurs clientes. La première partie illustre plusieurs occurrences de là dans ce contexte professionnel, qui témoignent d'un usage notamment temporel et anaphorique. La deuxième partie se focalise sur l'utilisation de là en tant que déictique spatial. Dans son emploi lié à l'espace, là est régulièrement accompagné de ressources manuelles comme des gestes de pointage ou de préhension. Cette coordination de ressources verbales et manuelles permet aux locuteurs d'effectuer une réorientation conjointe de l'attention sur un objet extralinguistique. Selon une perspective résolument praxéologique, cet article accorde donc un intérêt particulier à l'ajustement temporel entre une ressource verbale (là) et ses pratiques manuelles co-occurrentes.

The multimodal anchorage of the French spatial deictic là in interaction Abstract
This article explores the different uses of là (“there”) as they are observable in service interactions between hairdressers and their clients. The first part illustrates several occurrences of là in this professional setting, which demonstrate temporal and anaphoric usages among others. The second part focuses on là used as a spatial deictic. When employed with reference to space, là is regularly accompanied by manual resources such as pointing or grasping gestures. The coordination between verbal and manual resources allows participants to achieve a joint reorientation towards an extra-linguistic object. By adopting a thoroughly praxeological approach, this article pays particular attention to the temporal adjustment of the verbal referent (là) and co-occurring manual practices.
