Abstract
To date, there has been little research into the sensuous dimensions of sporting activity. This paper seeks to address this lacuna and to expand the literature via an examination of one specific group: distance runners. Using data from a two-year collaborative autoethnography, the paper portrays the sensuous activity experienced by two runners as they traverse their routine training routes.
