Abstract
In this paper I shall be presenting characteristic findings from the developing research into the organizational details of conversational interaction. 1
The presentation of these findings will be governed by
an interest in what they might tell us about 'socialization' as an interactionally achieved phenomenon. I hope to secure the point that such research can provide resources both for analytic approach to questions of 'socialization' as well as for substantive detail on phenomena referred to as 'socialization processes'.
