|Abstract=In this paper, an analysis of instances of recycling, replacement, insertion, and aborting in their sequential contexts reveals a variety of interactional motivations of the four repair operations in Hungarian within the framework of conversation analysis. The results of the present study support the findings related to insertion repair, according to which there is no one-to-one relationship between the repair operation type and the particular interactional function it fulfils (Wilkinson and Weatherall 2011: 89).
