developing research into the organizational details of conversational
 
interaction.

an interest in what they might tell us about 'socialization' as an
 
interactionally achieved phenomenon. I hope to secure the point
 
that such research can provide resources both for analytic approach
 
to questions of 'socialization' as well as for substantive detail on
