Abstract
This article examines how information is processed and used by a multiprofessional team about clients recently referred to 12- step treatment (in Finnish Myllyhoito, i.e., the Finnish equivalent of the Minnesota Model). Insight is given into the myllyhoito planning process behind the scenes and into the expectations that myllyhoito profession- als set for their clients. The article aims to introduce the professionals’ views on the type of patient best suited to the myllyhoito model. An analysis of the way that client- specific information is used also shows how a multiprofessional team can maintain and update the 12-step treatment ideology when producing patient1-specific treatment recommendations.
