Abstract

This reply to Seedhouse's response intends to further substantiate my methodological critique of data used in second language acquisition research. In a specific response to Seedhouse, I maintain that data from foreign language interaction pose new challenges to the study of talk-in-interaction.

Notes

See Journal of Pragmatics 30 (1998) 85-102 for Seedhouse's critique.
