This wiki developed out of the Ethno/CA News website originally founded and maintained by Paul ten Have formerly Associate Professor in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology, University of Amsterdam. From 1996-2014. A printed version was issued at irregular intervals from 1992 - 1996, then Paul's WWW-version was in operation from fall 1996-Summer 2014 initially on University of Amsterdam web servers then on Paul's private server.

Purpose

The EM/CA wiki is a medium for the exchange of information concerning publications, conferences and other items relevant to Ethnomethodology and Conversation Analysis among those who work in the field or have a strong interest in it. You are invited to contribute whatever information you want to share on recent publications, conferences, etc. If you have a specific information request you might also try to have it fulfilled by asking in the 'Discussion' tabs at the top of each page.

The EM/CAwiki can only be maintained if members of the EM/CA Community show their interest, contribute news items, and suggest ways in which it can be improved. Please do get involved, if you need any help using the wiki, don't hesitate to cont

Administration

Anyone may request an account and add information, but there are also some housekeeping roles.

  • The EMCA wiki Admins are the informal group that run the wiki day to day, delete duplicates, transfer and update references from Paul ten Have's bibliography to the new wiki and deal with finding and adding new entries on an ad-hoc basis.
  • The EMCA wiki editors are a group appointed by the ISCA board, who deal with any editorial issues.
  • The EMCA wiki announce group deals with conferences, jobs, CFPs and other announcements - and are usually quite busy sharing news from the EM/CA community.
